+ 21 Notes

This is the building for the School of Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires. It is designed in a neogothic style and was meant to have a large central tower but construction was delayed because of changes made to the original designs. Then it was stopped due to the high costs of building materials as a consequence of WWI. Later they carried on with the works but once again construction was stopped. The year after that a new building was comissioned and the architect in charge of this project died (all in the same year, leading to rumours that he had committed suicide due to errors in the plans), so the building remains forever unfinished.
